If you’ve made the decision to close your LinkedIn account, it’s important to follow the proper steps to ensure that the process is completed successfully. Closing your account can be done through the LinkedIn mobile app or website, and I’m here to guide you through the steps.
Closing Your Account via Mobile App
To start the process, open the LinkedIn mobile app on your device. Once you’re logged in, tap on the Profile icon located in the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen.
Next, tap on the Settings icon in the top right corner of your profile. This will open up a menu where you can access various account settings and preferences.
Under the Account management section, you’ll find an option that says “Close account.” Tap on this option to proceed with the account closure process.
After tapping “Close account,” you will be prompted to continue with the closure. Confirm your decision by tapping on the “Continue” button.
Selecting a Reason for Closure
LinkedIn will then ask you to provide a reason for closing your account. This information is valuable to LinkedIn as it helps them improve their services based on user feedback.
Choose the reason that best aligns with your decision to close your account, and then tap “Next” to move on to the next step in the process.
Entering Your Account Password
As an added security measure, LinkedIn will require you to enter your account password before proceeding with the closure. This is to confirm that it is indeed you who wishes to close the account.
Enter your account password in the designated field and then tap on “Done” to finalize the closure of your LinkedIn account.
Confirmation of Closure
Once you’ve completed the steps outlined above, LinkedIn will confirm the closure of your account. You will no longer have access to your account, and your profile will be removed from the platform.
