Deleting photos in your iCloud account can help you free up storage space and keep your photo library organized. Follow these steps to delete a photo in iCloud:
1. Sign in to iCloud.com using any web browser and enter your Apple ID credentials to access your account.
2. Once you have successfully logged in, navigate to the Photos section on the iCloud website. This is where all your synced photos are stored.
3. To delete a photo, hold down the Ctrl key (Windows) or Command key (macOS) on your keyboard while selecting the photos you wish to remove from your iCloud account. You can select multiple photos at once by clicking on each photo.
4. After selecting the photos, you will see a trash can icon located at the top-right corner of the page. Click on this icon to delete the selected photos from your iCloud storage.
5. A confirmation prompt may appear to ensure that you want to delete the selected photos. Confirm the deletion by clicking on the “Delete” or “Confirm” button, depending on the prompt.
6. The photos you selected will then be moved to the Recently Deleted album in your iCloud account. Note that these photos will still occupy storage space until you permanently delete them.
7. To permanently delete the photos and free up space in your iCloud account, go to the Recently Deleted album within the Photos section.
8. In the Recently Deleted album, select the photos you want to remove permanently. You can choose to delete individual photos or select “Delete All” to remove all photos in the album at once.
9. Once again, you will be prompted to confirm the deletion. Confirm your action by clicking on the “Delete” or “Confirm” option.
10. The photos you deleted from the Recently Deleted album will be permanently removed from your iCloud account and cannot be recovered. Make sure you no longer need these photos before proceeding with the deletion.
11. After deleting the unwanted photos, you should see an increase in available storage space in your iCloud account, allowing you to sync more photos or data without running out of space.
12. Remember to regularly review and delete unnecessary photos from your iCloud account to optimize storage and keep your photo library organized.
