Starting a Group FaceTime Call
To initiate a group FaceTime call, open the FaceTime app on your iPhone or iPad. Once you are in the app, tap on “New FaceTime” located near the top of the screen. This action will prompt you to enter the names or numbers of the people you wish to include in the call.
Adding Participants
You can directly type in the names or numbers of the individuals you want to include in the group call. Alternatively, you can tap on the “+” icon to access your contacts list and select participants from there. This feature makes it easy to add multiple people to the call without having to manually enter each contact.
Choosing Call Type
Once you have selected the participants for your group FaceTime call, you have the option to make either a video call or a FaceTime audio call. Simply tap on the video camera icon to start a video call or the phone icon for a FaceTime audio call. This flexibility allows you to tailor the call based on your preferences and the nature of the discussion.
Initiating the Call
After you have selected the participants and chosen the type of call, tap on the green call button to start the group FaceTime call. The app will begin connecting all participants, and you will soon be enjoying a virtual gathering with everyone on the line.

You can add more people to the call by tapping on the “Add Person” button, remove individuals from the call, or even mute or unmute participants as needed. Switching Between Calls
If you need to switch between different calls or apps while on a group FaceTime call, you can do so seamlessly. Simply swipe up from the bottom of the screen to access the App Switcher and navigate to the desired app. You can easily return to the FaceTime call by tapping on the green banner at the top of the screen.
Customizing Your Experience
Facetime offers various customization options to enhance your group calling experience. You can choose to use Animoji or Memoji during the call, apply filters, or even use the “Attention Correction” feature to maintain eye contact with participants. Ending the Call
When you are ready to end the group FaceTime call, simply tap on the red end call button at the bottom of the screen. This action will disconnect all participants from the call, allowing everyone to exit the virtual meeting smoothly.
